Torview Wines is a family-run vineyard and winery based in North Devon. Primarily focused on producing red wine, they challenge conventional vineyard practices by using fewer chemicals and less diesel, while caring more sustainably for the soil.

Treasury Wine Estates (TWE), one of the world’s largest wine companies based in Australia, has been an active member of SWR since May 2021, contributing to the leadership committee. Committed to sustainability, TWE focuses on three key areas: building a resilient business, fostering healthy and inclusive communities, and producing sustainable wine. The company annually reports on its sustainability progress through the TWE Sustainability Report, demonstrating alignment with the United Nations Global Compact principles.

VDP (Verband Deutscher Prädikatsweingüter e.V.) is a renowned association of over 200 wineries in Germany, focused on maintaining high-quality standards in winemaking. Established in 1990, VDP not only celebrates outstanding wines but also advocates for sustainable and ecological practices among its members and they have been a proud SWR member in December 2022.

Verallia, headquartered in France, is a leading glass packaging manufacturer dedicated to sustainability. In 2020, they defined their purpose as “re-imagining glass for a sustainable future,” which serves as a compass for all their endeavors. Their ambitious goals include achieving a 30% reduction in carbon emissions by 2030 and increasing the use of recycled glass in their products to 50% by the same year. Verallia aims to develop innovative circular ecosystems that promote glass recycling and support the transition to a circular economy, ensuring responsible production practices while minimising their environmental impact.

Since 2010, Vignerons Engagés brings together French winegrowers committed to CSR from vine to glass. With the country’s first sustainability certification for wine, we represent 5% of the French vineyard. We are the professional organization dedicated to CSR in the wine sector.

Based in Hampshire, Vintage Roots has been at the forefront of sustainability since 1986. Also a certified B Corp, their focus is certified organic wines and drinks for the UK market, from restaurants to shops and retailers, homes and more.
