Building on the 2023 launch of the Bottle Weight Accord, SWR is expanding its efforts to sparkling wines. Following the first comprehensive research into lightweighting sparkling wine bottles in 2025, the Sparkling Bottle Weight Accord (Sparkling BWA) will introduce evidence-based reduction targets for different sparkling wine bottle categories, guiding the industry toward measurable, sustainable weight reductions.
