On a recent tour of Barolo, Barbaresco and Alba, amongst other fabulous places in Piedmont, I interviewed Giacomo Conterno of Poderi Aldo Conterno wines, at his sprawling and elegant HQ in the midst of classical Northern Italian countryside.

There are also some photos below of the wines we tasted and the lovely Conterno winemaking facilities. Seeing all the old wine making equipment always makes me realise just how far we’ve come in the last fifty years in wine making.
