James is one of the first generation to have their entire career in sustainability starting back in the early 1990’s in the heavy oil, gas, mining and power industries including with the FTSE top 10 company, BG Group. As the sustainability agenda moved from “do less harm” to consumer driven “whole of value chain”, James moved into the food and beverage sector with global flavour manufacturing company, Symrise. He is currently Head of ESG at Tandem, a green fintech /digital bank and a trustee of Interclimate Network, a charity working with young people to inspire them to become leaders in climate change.
